Thriplow Daffodil Weekend 2000

Each year for one weekend around early April the village of Thriplow throws open its gardens and puts on a number of attractions; it is very popular with visitors. This is known as Daffodil weekend, although there must be a lot of worrying as to whether the flowers will make it until the event! DDMM have been one of the 'entertainments' on the Sunday since the early 1980s, and it has always been an important curtain-raiser to the main season.

This year the event was on 8-9 April, with DD performing on the 9th. The weather was remarkably good, and we managed our usual four dance spots, two outside the pub, one near the church, and the other near the village hall. It is a tiring afternoon, but we usually enjoy it, especially when the weather is fine, which is has now been for several years.
