Tonight we danced with Hageneth Morris Men on their weekly evening and not ours There was not much audience outside, but in the pub there was a large spare room, and I think we danced more there than outside. A great evening! The spot at Chippenham has for many years been a guarantee of good weather. Sadly, tonight this good run of luck was broken and it was very wet... No photos of Snailwell, sorry.
DDMM's practice evening is Thursday, and in the summer this translates to the evening each week where we go out and dance in the local villages outside a couple of pubs. Here's the record of the final instalment for 2001.
5 July
The Blue Lion Hardwick
The Grapes Comberton
(Wednesday) 11 July
The Bull Kennet

The Cock Kentford

19 July
The Tharp Arms Chippenham

26 July
The Dog and Duck Linton

The Pear Tree Hildersham

Hildersham has for a number of years been the last pub night of the season. Over the past three years we've taken to doing a special version of the dance 'Balance the Straw' with sticks on fire, and these are the best photos we have of it. In case anyone is worried, our insurance does cover this dance!
